More News From Canada!

In Ontario, there has been news that schools will be shut down for longer than we had expected (2 weeks). We don't know when they will reopen.  During this time my family and I have been going on dog walks, going on hikes, watching educational TV shows, and doing homework that my parents were giving my brother and me. We are also finding time to do things that we never find time to do, like baking, doing puzzles, training the dog, etc. Let's hope this outbreak ends soon!

News from New Jersey
Here in Princeton restaurants are closing down because the governor declared it, which has an impact on us cause all of the stores are closing down and that means that we cant go out to eat or shop.  Stay safe and healthy lets fight this coronavirus together.

Changes in Canada!

There have been some new changes as a result of the Covid-19 virus in Canada that were changed in the last couple of days. The Canadian government has announced that all restaurants must be shut down, although there can be takeout. The other big change is that you may not travel to Canada unless you are Canadian. However you will need to be checked for symptoms or if they think you have the nasty virus you will not be able to come back to Canada until further notice. Luckily my family has not traveled out of Canada recently so we don't have that to worry about. The final big change that is recommended in Canada is not to be in groups larger than 50 people! 

In my life lots of things are different, but there are also lots of things that we are doing the same. For example, we are still walking my dog and doing chores. Instead of doing things like going to school my parents are making my brother and I  do work at home!  My brother and I are getting really bored because all of our extracurricular activities are canceled, and that is what we are usually busy doing. To pass the time I have been having fun playing video games (Roblox) with my cousin in Germany! 

News from New Jersey

Here in Princeton, NJ our schools closed on Friday we have to do school from home and try to avoid big crowds. There is this app called zoom and is a good way to stay in contact with friends and my soccer team .And we helped our community by giving food and medicine for people that don’t have the money to buy food to stock up.I am sad that I don’t get to see my friends and teacher and also my babysitter’s college closed it is going to be a lot harder without her around god bless you all and wash your hands and stay safe cause if you touch your hands , face or mouth you could get sick.

So far in Canada

March break started today and normally we get one week off of school, but because of Covid-19, the Ontario government has closed schools for three weeks. That could be extended because Alberta (another province) has closed their schools and they don't know when the schools will reopen. I don't see it as a break because there is nothing to do! Everything is closed. Pools, recreation centers, libraries, museums, ice rinks, etc. Lots of products in grocery stores are sold out, or hard to get, like flour, hand sanitizer, and toilet paper! The Canadian government recommended to not travel (or to come back to Canada) and not to be in groups of over 250 people. My parents are still going to the grocery store but, my brother and I have to stay home so we don't get the virus and spread it. I hope that this stops soon!
